of course would as mentioned also in the Art News, and I spoke to you about having the address changed to Lovell,- be sure and be on the "alert" and keep me informed, and tell me what people are saying and doing and all the home news, it keeps my spirits up, and you may be sure they get pretty low at times, and I feel dead homesick and forlorn.

Withal, I am finely treated and nicely located, with a superb studio, Things could not be better in that respect, but official life and "court" life are not like life in the [[old?]] home at Hewnoaks - And how glad I shall be to get back to it, with the memories of the lovely and considerate people I meet here to dwell upon.

Yesterday I had Luncheon at the Legation with Mr. & Mrs. Brad Whitlock, The Sect'y, and his bride of four months a charming Russian girl, and Walter Damrosch who is on his way back to the U.S. It was all very lovely. The host & hostess are most charming and natural You would love Mrs. W? and the

day.- I had a fine sitting from the King (the 2nd) on Friday at his wonderful summer Palace, and got a good start but this I am writing up in a "diary letter"- which I will send in a few days,  I could spend all my time writing up happenings,

There was the impressive memorial service the other day (Sunday) where the bodies of the Belgian Martyrs were brought back for burial—  

Cardenal [[Cardinal]] Mercier officiated, such a superb sight you can not imagine. I had a place with the Foreign Legation, and stood within 20 ft. of the Cardinal and officiated clergy — but more anon about this. Then you will probably read accounts of it in the papers there.  

I wanted you to order the Times before you left so as to watch for notice of my mission, if is out I know, for it has been seen here in this paper - between the 15th & 22nd of May I think, it
