Office of the King
Palace at Brussels,
16-June-19.

My dear Colleague,

I have to say - on behalf of the King [[string of illegible crossed out words]] in the matter of a sitting to Mr. Volk, that it will be altogether and unfortunately impossible for his Majesty to receive your distinguished compatriot, for a few days. The King has had his program for the day completely changed, tomorrow he has several audiences, and in the afternoon he must receive your President. I will keep in mind the next appointment and will write you as soon as possible—
Yours devotedly
(signed) Anschot.
