So you see [[strikethrough illegible]] Pres. Wilson's visit has caused a postponement! of my work, but still I am filling in the time copied the King's head today, and will keep two going.

The long delayed visit of the Pres. is at last to take place, and there is much excitement, and great activity around this spot, where both the legation & military headquarters are located, American cars & soldiers are rushing back & forth, and all are making ready. I cave in when I think of the letters I ought to write to people who probably expect them, but me eyes & me back forbid, though I will do what I can from time to time tell everybody, its not from my lack of inclination.

Even the dear boys I have neglected but my letters home are to all of you, of course you understand.

Have not heard a word from Wilcox, had two from Jerrykins, it was such

an hour & a half to write this letter and nothing to it, and I don't seem to be able to write so I can read what I have written!
You must have a hard time!
