My dear Henry-

Yours of Monday with [[strikethrough]] Hilga []/strikethrough]] Hawkins letter postal from Truffaut arrived OK yesterday.

I at once had the letter sent over to Nelson. Of course he is delighted & hopes to get the field plowed at once & get the spuds planted He had sent several men over to spade up our grass plot. Alice & I planted about half of it in Early Rose spuds. You remember you especially selected some your self & they were put into the case. nearly a sack full. Those we planted. The rest of the plot I will put in late carrots. Our potatoes are about all planted at the other place.

Asparagus is beginning to come. Alice & I weeded it all today.

Mr. Nelson is to buy all the seed potatoes I will let him have. I have sold already 6 loisseau to people around here. He is to give me 21 frs for 100 lbs. Not so bad, is it?
