3 I really do not know how many sacks there will be. Our Jesse is up & is getting to feel & look better. He hasn't been out as yet, but, if tomorrow is as fine a day as today I will let him go out & sit in a well sheltered spot for a little while. This is his second day up. I trust you have received my letter to Vittel OK. Your letters are coming more quickly, but I fear mine take days & days to reach you -- So funny I wrote you about Jesse the day after you left here you seemed not to have received it. Do try & get another can of that dilicious [[delicious]] syrup. We have no sugar & we are sweetening our tea & coffee with it. That bit of sugar I keep hidden as it would disappear if Alice had any thing to do with it in a very short time. So I keep it when J. & I are alone. All for now Love from us both. Yours. Jessie.
