thrn the cross really very pretty and the setting is lovely. On the marble is cut the name of Mother and Father and a short scripture. I will take this down the next time I go out. I bought a geranium in a pot and put it at the foot of the grave. If they are not lost you will find some leaves I have taken off the flowers and put in this letter. Mother and Father are together and the grave is beautifully arranged. Well we left the place and went out to the Bois de Boulogne. We went to the long lake, took a boat ride over to the island had some lemonade and rested for some time then we walked over to the Jardan d'Acclimatation but it was closed being now 6 P.M. so we came back to the hotel and I tell you was I tired. I took a friend with me so I could talk park of the time with Franken. I could not keep up with his talking anyway he is a mighty good fellow and I had a splendid day with him. He will telephone to the Banzets tomorrow and make an appointment for tomorrow evening for me. All my work is finished now and am ready to go [[crossed-out]] any moment [[/crossed-out]] at a moment's notice which I hope will come soon. I want to get to work. The weather[[crossed-out]] is [[/crossed-out]] has been beautiful again today. I wish you would get Mrs. Ashley to let you know the name on the two packages which I was to send away. We had to break them open and the addresses were lost. I will keep them in my trunk until I hear from you. I want to send them to their destination so the poor fellows can have a good smoke. Everything that is good in Paris goes to the soldiers even the smokes we must line up for what is not considered good for the soldiers.

Lost of love and kisses to you my dear wife, Solon
And I do not want you to forget Ausgust, Lucy and George Paul
I hope they are well and settled.
