you [[your]] business letter came this morning in regards to the bill to the Blacksmith & also Bogart. I do not see that there is anything else to do but pay them. I had hoped to save some money here for Bogart and Will but in trying to live very simple and give a little to many soulders [[soldiers]] that need it. it will two months at leas [[least]] before I could send some money home to you. but will try my best. Mr Guthrey offer seems to me to be alright. I do not like it. but to keep you from worring [[worrying]] I would rather you sell the marble for what you can get for it. There was no letter from the children in your letter as you said there would be. you forgot to put the number on your letter. you will know by this letter and the letter that I have sent that mail is very slim and a letter from Monica & Paul is always welcome. We are have very much to all the time 15 hours every day. and this will keep up untill [[until]] this drive in this section lasts. I am afrad [[afraid]] that you are are going to tire your self going to New  Corner every day to give lessons. Enclosed you will find a post card of Jim, M.
