which I have written down. I will have a very interesting book of what is going on and many sketches to illustrate. 
  Last week I sent $60 to you in the hopes you will get it without trouble. As soon as my money comes, I will send more. I do not want you, Emma, to stand the loss of these two bills at all, and if anything occurs that needs a decision, make it and I will agree to it. 
  There has been no letter from home for two weeks. I cannot account for it because Jimmy gets letters right along. There are three of you. Then you might try to write a little oftener. the only way we have time to write is to write a little between times. In this letter you will find ? (*C.O.) The children wear it so the Ofus will not strike them. It is a sure protection and if you wear them, I am sure the Ofus of the Fritzes will not hit you.
