one that did come was such a short business letter and none from Monica and Paul that I count it a month since any letters have come from home. Maybe you are giving so many lessons and the children have so much to do you can find no time.

Yesterday, Tuesday, had to take a long treck to two different towns looking for supplies for our Foyer. Traveling in cammions was an interesting trip but the roads are terribly dusty in this Sector, but I tell you Paul and Monica, it beats all the hiking we ever had. This whole Sector was once civilized , the towns were well populated, now complete destruction every place. Towns that I was in two weeks ago have been demolished. People are coming back looking for their homes. Jim and I have had no fruit or sweets for weeks. One town I passed I was a little store, candy and friit, chocolate drops - one franc, ten in a box this big ten francs. [THIS BIG] Apples one fifty/c each. Muskmellons 3-5 franc each. It is very difficult to get a few of the nice tasty things we need. Jim and I are at last to be parted. He is ordered in one army 5 and I in the Army of the 6
