         Sunday Oct 13. 1918

My dear Emma + children. This day happens to be a day off with me. I received an order to re port [[report]] to another army Corps. Yesterday at two oclock which I did. today time is taken up by waiting for supplies. So we can move with this new army corps. I was [[slowed?]] at Les [[crossed out]] Meacex [[/crossed out]] Meneux [Mesneux], about 6 kilometers from Raims [Reims] just at the time when the Burch [Bursch] were being driven away from the sector. (it was grate [[great]].) of course this is old news to you by this time and the Fritz are still on the run. I told you somewhat of my story in the last letter which I carried in my pocket 4 days because I could get no way of Porter it this morning when I returned to Le Meneux [Les Mesneux]. often my few things I found the [[propurty?]] + wife here in this Foyer only for a few minutes they were kind enough to take  my letter to Eperny [Epernay] + post, it a week ago last
