Dear Emma and children

Your letters arrived Sunday full of the news of Home. you bet we were excited over the Armistice being signed. So you created quite a little excitement in giving out the news. Well it is fine and everybody is happy Paris I understand is gon mad over it. Have not heard from your brother at all he must be very busy with the President just now. his arrival (our President) is awaited with great expectations of joy over here. I am sure France + England will give him a good

time, Am always very anxious about my letters for the last six weeks it has been impossible for me to get stamps. We have been cut of from everything in a long while and in the towns we have no post. There has been no organization so of course no post offices. and being connected with a division my letters have had to be posted on soulders mail. I hope the censor will see that my mail gets through and you will pay at the other end, I have asked jim to send me a good supply of stamps. I am glad you are so happy all the time and in your business affairs that are always right up to the
