I am very glad that something can be done way out here for these few men the foyers and [[seven?]] civilians will have a better chance. On the other hand I am not happy at all because I have just received a letter from you in which you say you have not had letters from me for three weeks. I know how this feels to miss mail. For about eight weeks, I have been on the go never in one place long. No stamps no post office, and no way of knowing weather you were receiving my letters.
