Dorm stuff for my foyer the wagon broke down before we arrived at the vilige [[village]] the soldiers and I loaded anyway, fixed up our wagon with wire. it was quite a load. we had to wald [[walk]] 50 kilometers. about 43 miles. Still you I was tired when I arrived home last night. we expect to move away from here any day now. I am glad of it. We have been here about a month not one day of sun shine almost rain everyday. I do hope you had a fine xmass, though much of you and wished I were home amongst you. the soldiers here were very happy and the officer quite surprised with what I did for them in this out of the way vilige [[village]]. The people are very kind to us but we are not very well lodged to many soldiers. lots of love deer [[dear]] children + Emma. I hope deer [[dear]] children you will take good care of your mother.
