all the time I neve closed the doors the building was so full of holes and then at night soulder[[soldiers]] were passing and needed something warm to drink. I would go to bed late leave a very small light burnin[[burning]] in a dark corner. so that eny[[any]] soulder[[soldier]] culd[[could]] com in + serve himself with out wakeg[[waking]] me up. [[strikethrough]] all this kept on untill yesterdy I was ordered to join anothr corps the directo[[director]] though I had done a very fine thing and done a grate servis to the soulder. he was very glad but afrad[[afraid]] worked to hard it was impossible to get food with asking to[[two?]] soulder that came in for part of ther bread I had brought two and of [[Lofestn?]] with that about all I had during the week. but it was the happis[[happiest?]] real foyer work I have done over her[[here]] excep the first three weeks at Mointroind[[Montriond/Montreuil?]] after that it became a gentelman job
