the same amount by the middle of December, this "como expresion de agradecimiento de su traduccion del libro de Mr. Harrington, ayusandome con ello de una manera eficag en mi tarea y por la mismo que estoy ahora tan ocupado."

As well he says that he intends to send me all the publications of the "Sociedad Paez" (Seccion de Antropologica),[[crossout]] as [[/crossout]] notwithstanding I am unable to be a member of that institution, on account of shortness of funds.-

Very kind indeed, and I have written him to-day, thanking him for his generosity.

The fact of the matter is, that I am waiting already 6 months to get news from my "apoderado", one of my cousins in Holland, to get my part of a few small inheritances from deceased members of my family, but somehow or other a delay has occurred and I may have to wait a few months more, as my sister at Amsterdam writes me.-

I kindly request you to consider this letter confidential, especially as regards Dr. Mestre.
Trusting this will find you O.K.
I remain, dear Mr. Harrington, yours faithfully
G.H. Jonker
