It is high back of Coxsackie & New Baltimore - It runs 1 mile west of Flint Hill- which is two miles west of the Hudson river 2 miles south of the village- Here I have practiced 55 years - It had always been a mystery whence the black flint came for the far west and whole Atlantic Coast. A young man who collected flint arrow heads & c. had long been telling me of the great excavations in that hill- For 300 years my ancestors - [[rumers??]] had wondered.
