WHEREAS,

This Society has for some years been interested in a preliminary survey of sites which indicate former Indian occupation in the Big Bend of Texas with the idea of encouraging legitimate detailed investigations by authorised [[authorized]] and accredited agencies, and Whereas, the Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation, New York, has recently sent Dr. M. R. Harrington and party into the district mentioned for purposes of preliminary research, therefore be it, RESOLVED, That the West Texas Historical and Scientific Society offer an official welcome to Dr. Harrington in his work and extend to him every reasonable aid which may contribute to the success of his enterprise. Be it further

RESOLVED, that a copy of this page be spread upon the minutes of this body and that further copies be sent to Dr. M. R. Harrington, Mr. George Heye, Director of the Museum of the American Indian, and to Mrs. Thea Heye by whose generous gift the expedition was made possible, and to the last two named a statement commending the scientific accuracy, energetic work, and ethical character of Dr. Harrington and his associates.
