Sept. 18th 1865

Know all men by these presents that I, Lot. Warfield of New Anne Arundle County and State of Maryland held and firmly bound to the United States of America in the sum of (200$) two Hundred dollars for the payment of which I bind myself, my heirs, Executors and Administrators firmly in these presents in this Contract that I am to furnish the persons whose names are subjoined (free Labors) full Substantial & Healthy Rations, Quarters, and All necessary supplies in Case of Sickness and the amount set opposite their Respective names per month monthy, less 25% twenty five per cent which amount is to be retained by said employer until the termination of the term of Service, this Contract to be broken only by mutual Consent
