Doctor Boas is expected back next Tuesday.  His son was operated on this summer for appendicitis but I understand is doing well.

We are at 115 West 82nd Street, the same place where Mr. Saville and family are boarding.  Have been hunting for two weeks for a flat without success.

I succeeded in getting hold of some specimens which give us considerable information regarding the Columbia Valley region -- enough to show that there are several cultures in that section, and that we know very little about any of them, except, perhaps, that of the Yakima Valley.

All of my blue cases have been painted yellow, and I purpose that the Hall of U. S. Archaeology shall look very different next spring from what it does now.

If there is anything I can do for you here in New York, please let me know.  I may be out in Chicago sometime during October or November for a dew [few] days.
