My dear little friend miss Catherine Case:-
You say that you think the Navajo Indians must be very interesting, and that you like Indians very much. I am so glad that you do and I hope that you will come to the Museum again, and allow me to tell you more about them.
You ask what the Indians wear on their heads in winter? Your teachers may have told you about the Indians wearing blankets, and you surely remember the ones that were shown to the class last Tuesday. When the cold weather comes, they wrap these blankets around the heads and in this way they keep the heads very warm.
My dear little friend Miss Wildman:-
I want to thank you for the nice little letter you wrote concerning the little chat that we had last Wednesday afternoon. I was glad that the Snack Dance interested you, and that you remember the "adventure underground".
I hope that you will come again so that you can learn more to tell your little brother.
Your little letter gave me so much pleasure, and I was glad to see that you looked up the "four States" that I told you about.
The Indians, whose beautiful blankets and ornaments we saw, do not live in cliff houses, but some of their relatives who lived many, many years ago, did live in these houses in the cliffs, which we will talk about the next time you come to the Museum.
I was glad to learn through you charming letter that you are interested in the Indians, and that you enjoyed the little chat we had
