Mr. Homer E. Sargent, Jr.,
Lakota Hotel,
Chicago, Ill.

My dear Sargent:-

Your letter of the 18th inst. received and Mrs. Pepper and I thoroughly enjoyed every word of it. We are very busy at the present time preparing for our Western trip, and hope to get away the middle or latter part of next week. I shall however, wire you and thereby acquaint you with the exact time of our arrival in Chicago, as I am certainly looking forward to a good chat and also for a sight of your great blanket collection.

I was glad to hear that you had a chance to see Sauerwin while in Los Angeles. I trust that we may cross his trail during the present summer, i.e., if he is to be in the Southwest, if not, there is a possibility of our running on to the Coast, and if so shall certainly make a desperate hunt for him.

I have many things to tell you, both concerning our summer's trip and also the proposed trip to Michoacan; but being that I shall probably see you in Chicago within a week or 10 days, I think it will be better to leave the various matters until that time, when we can talk them over to our hearts content.

With keen anticipations for the Chicago "Convention" and with kindest regards from Mrs. Pepper as well as from self, I am as ever,

Warmly and sincerely yours,
(G.H.P.)
