Dear Mr. Pepper:- On my return this morning I find your telegram and letter, and regret exceedingly having missed you. The man in charge of our exhibit at St.Louis stated that you were in a few days ago and I was rather in hopes of running across you at St.Louis. I cannot tell for several days just when I will leave for Albuquerque and the West. I may leave in two or three days and I may be compelled to remain in this vicinity until after the 17th.
