INTERNATIONAL
CONGRESS OF ARTS AND SCIENCE,
UNIVERSAL EXPOSITION, ST. LOUIS,
SEPTEMBER 19-25, 1904.
SUGGESTIONS FOR THE USE AND GUIDANCE OF MEMBERS.
_____

The attention of scholars accepting membership in the above-named Congress is invited to the following particulars:
1. The scope and purpose of the Congress, and the subjects discussed in its section, about 128 in number, are set forth in the programme, a copy of which will be sent to each invitee to the Congress. The chronological arrangement at the end of the programme will enable members to select the sections which they desire to attend.
2. The two leading addresses in each section, which, for the most part, have been arranged in advance, will be followed by brief communications, to be invited from members. It is expected that the arrangements for these addresses will, in most cases, be made by the Chairmen of the sections. At the entire time available for them is only about one hour in any one section; and as they may be invited from or offered by a considerable number of members, the latter will, it is hoped, be prepared for a limitation of their time to ten minutes, more or less. Members offering communications are requested to send with the title a statement of the time required.
