My dear Pep:
On my return Saturday from my exploration out through the reservations up the State, I found your letter from Mexico waiting me, and was glad to know that you had got as far as you had on the Southern path. I am very anxious to know and see the objects you found for me in the [[strikethrough]]State[[/strikethrough]]City of Mexico, and I hope that if you do not find any where you are, that on the way back you will be able to get for me one or two good pieces of jade. 
I had a most enjoyable week. I went with Mr. Keppler and we visited the Onandaga [[strikethrough]]in[[/strikethrough]] the Tonawanda, and the Cattarangus
