the Deed from Mrs. Conner is furnished & is marked “C”.
Mrs. Martin has taken the Amnesty oath and a copy is filed marked “D”

She would refer to the affidavits of Dr. Spencer Wood & her husband & the endorsements- of officers on the papers & asks that her place with the Furniture in Capt Pence’s possession & such others as she may find may returned to her- They contain the last remnant of his property and she asks respectfully that the war now ended in the field may not be prosecuted against defenceless women & children.

Personally appeared before me Richard A Inge, Clerk of the Probate Court of said County. The foregoing named Margareta D. C. Martin, who being first duly sworn, deposed and said that the facts stated in the foregoing petition are true and correct to the best of her knowledge and belief.
