to bring the matter directly to your attention that a specific order be made preventing what would be in my humble opinion a monstrous wrong the taking of this property for the purpose mentioned.
This property was purchased by me of Mrs Dickson the mother of C R Dickson in January 1863 She had always owned the home - Some year before however being very much embarrafsed it was sold at Sheriffs Sale and bought in the name of C R Dickson her son - She had long since that sale paid her debts and paid him back the purchase money but neglected to take the deed from him - thus she had all the while possefsion and the equitable title and to her I paid the money - [[strikethrough]] discovering [[/strikethrough]] and she made the deed - discovering as I afterwards did that the legal title was in her son I applied to and received from him his quit claim deed, paying to him nothing therefor -
