last will and Testament signed with her hand and seal in the presence of two witnesses.
And this indenture further witnesseth, that it shall be lawful after said marriage shall take place for him. The Thomas Lewis to bring suit in law or equity in the name of the said upon P. Mellen and Sarah C Lewis his intended wife for any property belonging to or to be acquired by said wife, and the said expense P. Mellen, to release or discharge any action at suit at law or in equity for or against him and said intended wife for any sum or sums of money belonging or due to her Sarah C. Lewis his intended wife, or to be acquired by her shall first obtain the consent of him the said Thomas Lewis his Executors or administrators.
And the upon P. Mellen shall join in any release acquittal or discharge or receipt which said Thomas Lewis shall think necessary to be given for said Mellen's wife's benefit.  Provided he the said Mellen be indemnified and saved harmless together with his executors, administrators and [[officers?]] from all costs or damages that he or his said intended wife may hereby incur.
In witness whereof the said parties have by and hereto affix their hands and seals this fourteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and thirty one.
