being duly sworn an oath says that he has intimately known A. P. McMillan of Natchez Miss., for about Sixteen years and that to the best of their knowledge and belief he has always conducted himself as becoms an American Citizen loyal to the government of the United States. That he has not in any way or manner voluntarily aided or abeted the [[?]] rebellion.
