Dear Richmond
Your letter on passport just received. The passport business is O.K. The old one having just been returned and me renewed for 6 months. 

Hope the boxes will arrive soon before the orchids are all dead. There was one gorgeous [[strikethrough]] one [[strikethrough]] species. The paper by Kloss & Robinson on the birds of Sumatra is quite an elaborate affair. Tho they did not get much that was entirely new. (My steamer (Iroquois) is expected to sail July 9th & I am very anxious to get back.  S.D. is better than this -
