Dearest Mom & Uncle,
Thank you so much for the check of $1200. I received that quite a while back but had no chance to write a proper letter.

Well, the exams are over and a new semester has begun. I meant to write during the winter break but had gone out too much & such did not down long enough to write. About the break, it was only a 5-day weekend. Tola (remember him?) picked us up at school Thursday at 11 a.m. & drove us to S.F. Very nice of him. Had lunch with him & [/Juy]. In the afternoon, about 5 of us girls went to see "The Victors." that night Annabella Li's parents invited us to a dinner at Far East. There were 10 girls & 1 man. Friday, went to a movie again with Nancy, Teresa & Lisa. Tola took me to a night club at night. Saturday, Teresa, Cecilia & I went to another movie. Chris took me to dinner at Imperial Palace. Sunday, didn't do anything. Had a nice time. No wars - no homework that weekend! I would tell you about the week before the study weekend but, that's over & I never want to remember how I studied.

There is a retreat on Thursday. Friday is Back-to-school-Parents-Night. Sat. - spring dance although it's still winter, Feb 12th is Lincoln's Day $ a holiday, Feb 15th is Mardi Gras. That's all the holidays I can think of right now. Also, I'm through with U.S. Civics. Am taking Art & Music Appreciation
