Dear Ya-ching:

Your vacation time is almost at an end, and I suppose you are wishing as I did that it were longer. We have you booked up for next week so that you would be sure to come home. On Tuesday, August 4th, at 11:30 a.m., Miss Sessions has arranged for you to have a picture taken with Bishop Manning. I think this is for the Herald-Tribune. I shall let you know where this will be taken after you come back. At 5:30 p.m. on the same day, you are scheduled to accept a Check and make a very short talk at the Labor Stage, 106 West 39th Street, New York City, the check coming from the International Ladies' Garment Worker's Union as a result of their efforts during the street drive. I believe you had your picture taken with Mr. Zimmerman of this union. On Saturday night, August 8th, you are scheduled to go to West Caldwell, New Jersey, to the Mountain Ridge Country Club, where they are having a UCR benefit dinner-dance. We shall work out means of transportation next week. According to present arrangements, you are wanted in Plymouth, Massachusetts, on August 17th. We shall have definite confirmation on this very soon.

Do you have Anna May Wong's California address? If so, I should like to get it immediately, unless you would happen to know whether or not she is coming east in October. We have a spot for her in Philadelphia but could not stand the expense of bringing her all the way from California and returning her there.

I shall save the rest of the news until I see you.

Very best wishes,

Marian
