ARRANGEMENTS FOR PUBLISHING A BOOK ON THE
CHINESE AIR-FORCE

1. After the author has sent in the manuscripts, we, the PACIFIC DIGEST, shall be responsible for translating them into English, then sending them to the printing press and also reading all the proofs. The book is supposed to contain 100,000 words covering two hundred pages, and twenty pages of pictures.

2. We shall undertake to pay first all necessary expenses for the translating, editing, and printing but these funds should be returned after the book is on sale (The cost for translating and editing is about H.K. $800.00 while that for printing 5000 copies is about H.K. $4,500.00 with gold lettering and good settlements.)

3. This book shall be considered as one of the series to be published by us.

4. After it is published we shall be responsible only for transporting the book to the author. At the author's request we may undertake to distribute the book in Hongkong or may ask our agents in other countries besides the United States to sell it.

5. The cost of the book shall be fixed at U.S. one dollar per copy. The author shall give back to us H.K. one dollar for each copy sold.

6. The English translation of the manuscripts shall be sent by air mail to the author for approval.

7. The book is expected to be out at the end of January 1939.
