Dear Miss Lee Ha-keng:- 

With the approval of Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph P. Donahue, P.A., V.G., Vicar General and Administrator of the Archdiocese of New York, the Catholic lay women of the Archdiocese are extending to you a personal invitation to be present at a Reception which is being given to His Excellency, Most Reverend Paul Yu-pin, D.D., Vicar Apostolic of Nanking, China, who at present is visiting America.

His excellency, Bishop Yu-pin is a distinguished prelate and representative of the Catholic Church and her missions in China. We, the Catholic lay women of New York, desire to do honor to him during his visit to our Archdiocese.

We hope that you will be able to favor us with your presence on the afternoon of Sunday, May 23rd, at 4:30 P.M. in the Cathedral High School Auditorium, 111 East 50th Street, New York City.

Your presence will help greatly to make this Reception in keeping with the dignity of our distinguished visitor. May we have your answer at your earliest opportunity?
