February 20th., 1943.

My dear Mr. Eisendrath:

In view of your interest in modern drawing and watercolors, I thought I should post you about a certain number of purchases I have made recently along those lines, including VAN GOGH, RENOIR, DELACROIX, SEURAT, LAUTREC, etc..

I have also been given for sale a very small, black pencil drawing of a horse by Odilon REDON, which is evidently a study for his painting of "Phaeton Driving Apollo's Horses", which, if I am not mistaken, is in the Robert McCormick Collection. The price of it is extremely reasonable and it might "catch your fancy".

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
