My dear Mr. Erickson:

May I take the liberty of inquiring whether you would be interested in parting with any of your paintings as a client of mine has requested me to inquire about the Holbein which you own. Even though you might not be willing to take a definite decision at the present time, I would like you to allow me to see again this particular painting and, have a conversation with you.

I hope you will not mind my writing you in so straight-forward a way though I haly had the pleasure of meeting you once quite a number of years ago.

Looking forward to hearing from you, believe me to be,

Yours sincerely,
JACQUES SELIGMANN & CO., INC.
