January 5, 1905.

Dr. John H. Hinton,
41 West 32nd St.,
New York, N.Y.

Dear Sir:-

I am sending you herewith check for $3.00 in payment for dues for 1905 in the American Folk-Lore Society. I shall have to ask you to send me a statement of my standing in relation to dues. I realize that I owe for possibly two years, but I want to make sure so that I can pay up in full. My absence from the City has caused me to mislay the bills that have been sent, and I therefore, do not remember the exact amount.

Thanking you in advance for your courtesy, I beg to remain,

Respectfully yours,

(G.H.F.)
