Dear Sir:
Your letter of the 7th is at hand. We did purchase quite a collection of books and pamphlets belonging to Dr. Washington Matthews. Quite a number of pamphlets have been sold to collectors who have called here from time to time since we have purchased them early last summer. We have not catalogued them or the books at all as we do very little in that line. We will try to have a manuscript list made of the books relating to the region you mention later and send it to you. Owing to the opening of the schools we are at present in the midst of extra press of business so cannot attend to the matter immediately.
Very truly yours,
W. H. Lowdermilk & Co.,
