My dear Professor:-

I received a letter from Mr. Willoughby in which he spoke of Mr. Heyes buying a collection of Pomo basketry and presenting it to the Museum in exchange for some of the pottery and other material from the Salado region. I am to dine with Mr. Heye to-morrow and should he decide to follow out the suggestion I shall run on to Cambridge to help with the selection of specimens. As I wrote Mr. Willoughby there are certain forms that Mr. Heye needs, and being that we are using his collection to such an extent it will be well to look at the matter from our standpoint as well as his.

I hope that I can run on to see you though it would have to be but for a day. There are a number of matters that I would like to talk over with you. Should it so happen that I can leave it will be on the early train Friday morning of this week.

Hoping that you are feeling much better and that I can see you soon, I am,

Sincerely yours,

Geo. H. Pepper
