Dear Mr: Pepper!
I received your letter 2 days ago, and to day the Curios Box. I am rather sorry the goods did not please Mr: Heye. However Dr: Newcombe returns next week and I know he can use every Article of those things, I had big trouble in getting the goods out of the Costumehouse here free, but I finally succeeded. I paid $11.75 [[Enpostage???]] and enclose here with the receipt & have no doubt Mr: Heye will send this to me, as you promised that should the goods not please you would pay the Duty, & [[Enpostage?]], but I got them without Duty. so the only charge is $11.75 [[Enpostage?]] and 025 for Carriage from the Costume House to my store. I am also sorry that you did not placed the
