My dear Mr. Pepper:-

I am in receipt of your letter of the 6h and draft fourteen dollars covering my expenditures connected with the shipping of your archaeological material. Regarding the ethnological material, it was my mind to collect it first, because I do not dispose of any at present. As I am occupied now the large archaeological collection of Sr. Heredia, I cannot start to travel in the middle of the month, but only at the beginning of December. Then, I am sure, it will be possible, in the course of few weeks, to arrange all in the way I proposed you. As you see, there will be another delay in delivering your material, but you understand that it is necessary to handle this matter with all possible care. You will probably get your collections in the course of January.

Yours sincerely
Wm. Bauer
