AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE.

WASHINGTON, D. C.

L. O. HOWARD,
PERMANENT SECRETARY

December 6, 1905.

Dear Sir:

I have been advised that there is no printing firm in New Orleans that can guarantee to print the program for the New Orleans meeting, and therefore I must have it printed in Washington before I leave for New Orleans on December 25th. It will be necessary for you to send in copy for your Section as complete as possible and have it in my hands by the 15th of December. We can have errata slips printed on the afternoon of December 28th, after we have held our Executive Committee meeting at the St. Charles hotel.

Yours very truly,
L. O. Howard

P. S.--Was Mr. Saville's Philadelphia address entitled "Mexican and Central American Archaeology," ever published? If so, can you send us a copy at once for the Philadelphia Proceedings? If not, can you ascertain from Mr. Saville if the manuscript is in such condition that it can be sent on immediately? The Proceedings, which have long been delayed owing to vexatious circumstances beyond our control, will be issued and distributed before the New Orleans meeting, and I should therefore like to have an immediate reply to this communication.
