Miss Fannie Morris,
Metropolitan Museum,
New York, N.Y.

Dear Madam:-
In replying to your kind letter of the 15th. inst. would say that it will be impossible for me to accept your invitation to examine the collection of musicil [[musical]] instruments now on exhibition in your Museum.
If you have not written to Mr. Mead of our department I would suggest that you call upon him for the information needed. He has made a study of musical instruments and can, no doubt, furnish the information desired.
Respectfully yuors [[yours]],
Geo.H.Pepper.
