AMA-NAA

Our aviation of the future depends on the eager minds and hands of today's youth whose first interest usually is manifested in building and flying model aircraft. NAA's model division, the Academy of Model Aeronautics, is the official rule-making body for model flying in this country.

AMA licenses model flyers and sanctions hundreds of contests each year... works with FAI in securing recognition of national and international model flying records made in the United States... assists in developing aeromodeling programs of every nature and size... helps the most promising youngsters to bridge the gap between modeling and full-scale aviation.

Air Your Education [[Image]]

NAA's Air Youth Council, comprised of national leaders in education as well as civil and military aviation, pursues a vigorous program that promotes education and training for school-age youth. Study of the basic sciences, vocational courses, model building and flying - these and the other pursuits are encouraged. Guidance is provided in every possible area of aviation education.

Air youth education is one of the most important and rewarding fields in which local Chapters can assist. NAA's aid to them includes listings of publications and other training materials as well as youth aviation news, in its monthly National Aeronautics.
