An unusual night photograph of the fireworks spectacle which was staged at Ak-Sar-Ben field.
The Photograph also shows distinctly the five loops performed by Aviator Verne Treat in his flaming airplane.
The camera was in perfect focus and the two magnesium flares are revealed in perfect order. Other photographers attempting to take the
[[cutoff - picture]]ure were unable to catch the full five loops in one exposure and in addition failed to catch each of the two lines of flame as the airplane was
[[cutoff]]ted through the loops.
The photograph was taken by Sheeler [[Sheelor]] brothers of Omaha.

VERNE A. TREAT

Mr. Treat is a former pilot associated with John J. Pershing's overseas forces with which he was noted as a night flier. Her is now a member of Ruth Law's flying circus and pilots the plane that Sunday will hover over the racing automobile driven by Ray Lampkin and from which Louis James, the Chicago youngsters, will spring to the dangling end of a rope ladder attached to the plane for the second public exhibition of its kind produced in this country.
