RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS of the STATE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY OF MINNESOTA at meeting held April 7th, 1922

- - - - -

WHEREAS, the Board of Governors of the State Agricultural Society of Minnesota has learned that Ruth Law, for years recognized as the world's most famous aviatrix, who, with her Flying Circus, has filled several successful engagements at the Minnesota State Fair, has announced her intention to retire from the field of exhibition flying, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, that we extend our warm appreciation of her services at this fair where she has furnished some of the most thrilling exhibitions in aviation ever staged, to the delight and entertainment of thousands of our patrons, without a single accident to mar the performance.

That we pay our tribute to her remarkable courage and enter-prise in engaging in this hazardous field, in which she was one of the pioneers,

That we compliment her upon the caution and care always exercised in staging her exhibitions, which resulted in her establishing a record of continuous performance unequaled by any other exhibition flier,

That we commend her good judgment in retiring with the laurels and honors she was won before experiencing an accident or a fatality such as has terminated the careers of many of her contemporaries, and,

That with this expression of appreciation, good will and friendship we extend our wish that together with her husband, Mr.Charles Oliver, she may enjoy many years of good health, happiness and prosperity, and that both may be able to attend, as guests, the future state fairs of Minnesota.
