FEBRUARY 12

Fri. 1932 - I went to see "Young Donovans Kid" and I think it's the bunk - If I had known it was a gangster picture, I wouldn't have gone - Mr. Clopton in Eng. class today says the only real players on the screen are Ruth Chatterton, G. Garbo, G. Arliss, and Clive Brook

19 I didn't go to the nite services today since it was too rainy - Instead I killed time on the annual.

19 without first deliberating on it, I spent about $120 for clothes, tuition, fees, books

FEBRUARY 13

Sat. 1932. I wonder [[strikethrough]] why [[/strikethrough]] pourquoi L. [[strikethrough]] feels [[/strikethrough]] a l'air d' uneasiness whenever [[strikethrough]] someone [[/strikethrough]] quel qu'un teases [[strikethrough]] me [[/strikethrough]] moi H? (Beaulah for instance).
Gee - I've been filled with so many worries of late - concerning essays, posters, news, and what not; I feel as if something is wearing and tearing me.

19 The dramatics class is certainly enjoyable. We'll soon be acting pantomime (W. said "favorama" oh, was that funny!

19 etc the first semester besides the $25 monthly allowances. Of the 25, 13 go to board.

Transcription Notes:
These are diary entries evidently from 1932, 33, and 34, although only 32 is marked. The third entries for Feb 12 & 13 seem to be one entry - a continuation of the same sentence. I transcribed each page separately, but didn't know how to indicate this - that they're joined in one sentence. In addition to what the transcriber noted above regarding the 3rd entry -- it's actually a continuation of the 3rd entries listed on the previous pages (page 25 of 189). I suspect this will be the case throughout the diary entries.
