APRIL 8
Fri. 1932. I had an awfully (terribly) good time today - at All Saints' Gym - practiced the play - & danced - & sang - and listed to Roy's personal, close, secrets - Gee - he's good at times - to tell me all about himself & his affairs! Also kidded W. about his "pinning" & "shinning."

be here next year to exhibit again, Paul took first in sculpture, 2 oils, block prints, & third in water color. This is one of my most inspirational days! I have the fever to paint & show Anderson

APRIL 9
Sat. 1932. I'm all upset today - I haven't much time as I have to decide which contests are most worthwhile [[strikethrough]]to of and[[/strikethrough]] for me to enter! Declamation? but I ain't got enough nerve to speak! advertisement - Ha Wickman - ? but the prizes aren't so good - well-well - "Old English" disappointed me - it wasn't so good - no action - incomprehensible dialogue! and G. Arliss - he acted goofy!

What [[underlined]]I[[/underlined]] can do. Today she introduced Paul to all the haole judges & didn't even give a glance at my prize display! Hackett & Clapton were there too & at least they looked at my things on display. Just wait till I paint!
