April 30

Sat. 1932 We practiced our play today and got a great kick out of seeing Mr. Clofton rushing to Ruth + say "Oh Columbine!" He looked so ridiculous! Well, it's the last day of the month - and tomorrow will be May 1st.

19 Herb, Stanley & I spent the whole day looking for flowers for tomorrow's celebration. But what we got was a big tamago [[?]]. I tried to make a verbena lei with the garden flowers but couldn't.

Transcription Notes:
Believe both paragraphs are entries for the same date, April 30th. Believe he was collecting flowers for a May day celebration occurring the the next day on May 1. Not sure what the word "big tamago" was supposed to be.
