Sat. 1932. How I envied Tad + Ruth today- they were sitting on the lawn outside the All Saints Hall after play practice- and they were having such a delightful time together. I consider these two tres fortunate in having chaque autre. Leur romance est si beau! I wish j'ai une fille qui could etre avec moi en play, study, etc. 
and avec whom je could avoir une time bonne.

19   Scholastic with the list of awards for 1933 arrived at the library and to my great disappointment I placed nowhere-
a plain O. Anyway, there's one consolation. Jamie's story which Anderson raved so much about didn't place either.

Sun. 1932.  Haruto, W. + I took a walk to Waifouli Beach. It seems as if it will be our weekly pastime.  H. is a splendid chap, + I get a great kick out of teasing him L.

19. which to hope for a prize. But the day the mag came, or earlier, I lost it! What irony! Well, this is my last year in HS and I haven't equaled Marjorie Waterhouse who won the Hawaii prize in her senior year.
