JULY 10
Sun. 1932. Wm Bakewell! I've seen him today! in "Guilty Hands." Sweller than ever & he dresses so neatly! Exceeded my expectations!
About next year's poems. I'm gonna write on simple things. accumulate, send some to Star- Bulletin (if O.K. with Scholastic) then send all for the contest. If there are any [[top of page]] surplus, I'll send to St. Nick. If none, then drawings done in art class will do.

JULY 11

I'm going U. soon, & probably find summer employment there. I wrote to Donald [[top of page]] again today, having heard that he's too sick to answer my first letter.
